I love Hip-Hop music too much….I’m from the golden age of Hip-Hop 86-94! HIP-HOP had rules,Respect,Intelligence,Originality and Talent was a must!!!
To be a Hip-Hop Head you have to respect almost all forms of Music in my opinion! I respect all Music except Country Music(which I think is full of racist hate) and I hate crunk music too!
Hip-Hop Music is about Intelligence,Skills,Originality,Uncut Raw Lyrics,DJ’s cuttin n scratchin in the hook and Bangin’ beats!
Thats pretty simple to follow. If you have those talents or some of those talents, Your Hip-Hop and I’ll respect you. I know we all have different opinons on who is the best MC(rappers suck)or Producer or DJ or Group is or was and I respect everybodys opinion.
Hip-Hop did so much in my life for the positive. It kept me away from hanging out on the corner doing dumb shit, or going out with my Duns who was out doing crazy shit(all of them got caught up ALL of them).
It kept me on a path….as a Kid…Hip-Hop was soooo exciting!!!!!
These Mc’s and Groups were my education,Entertainment,Heros, and I dare say Postive role models.
In Hip-Hop it was a sin to sound like everybody else.Crunk Music everybody sounds the same!
Hip-Hop Music broke down negative stero types of Black and Latino People that White America saw us as.
Hip-Hop artist like Rakim,Chuck D,Krs-One,Ice T,Run-Dmc,LL Cool J,Common sense,Ice Cube(up until we be clubbin),Masta Ace,Poor Righteous Teachers and Paris(numerous others both East and West) were INTELLIGENT DUDES! They were all saying something IMPORTANT, they all had Lyrical Skills,They all sounded different from each other but yet battled the Negative Media,Racism,And stero types.
Crunk Music is 360 degrees different from Hip-Hop Music.
They re-enforce stero types,Sure some of these Dudes is Intelligent in Crunk Music but they sure don’t show it when they rhyme.They look and act like totally Country ass Bafoons.Grills?C’mon…in the early 80’s Cats was rocking Gold Fronts!Get a late pass! And these Crunk Cat ain’t saying anything Uplifting,Intelligence,Bashing Women,and don’t even Rhyme on beat!!!!
And they SUCK AS LYRICIST!!! They are what we would call a “WACK MC” or if you want to go way back a “SUCKER MC”.
But heres where ignorance and having an excuse is at it’s worst.
